It's almost the Easter Weekend!! Yay!!

I'm not religious. Well, I religiously play FFXI now, does that count? So when my schedule has it so I've got the whole 3-day Easter weekend off, YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm excited to play FFXi pretty much the entire time! I've got so many things to do!! Let's see then...

Earlier this week, I obtained my Magnifying Spectacles! Clothcraft skill +1 Hooray! This is mostly thanks to Eugene, who's let me borrow his character while I'm camping HNMs to farm up the billion silk threads I needed (I'll need a billion more...). I'm still low level , but I think I'm going to be working hard at this whenever I can.

I've started going campagin again, ofcourse, but I haven't managed my next medal yet. Oy. I've got to put hours into that - with the server merger campagin is a joke. Mobs are beaten too fast, it takes too long for a campagin to start, etc. Blah.

I've also started on those trial weapon thingys. I'm going after the Cure Potency staff. Still on stage 1, and still have to kill like 70 treants.... but so does another galka-friend....

I haven't gotten Odin or Alexander.. I haven't learned wtf VNMs are yet.... I feel so behind, but these next 3 days, let's see what I can't catch up on!!!

Non-FFXi Material: Books

A lot of people complain about camping in the HNMLS scene. I've done my fair share of whining, usually it's just because it takes away from other in-game materials.

Most of the time, however, I'll quickly pass the time by reading. Reading is one of my favorite hobbies.

I don't read very interesting books, they're mostly just for pleasure, just for me.

When I started playing again Friday night, I helped camp Dark Ixion. I started Hourglass, by Claudia Gray. It's a #3 in the Evernight Series. Yes, it's about vampires. Today I finished it, a lot of time thanks to maintence. I'm pretty pissed about the ending, talk about cliffhanger. This book just got released this month too, I'll probably have to wait a year + to read the next novel. Sighs!

Next: Broken, by Kelly Armstrong. Mrs Armstron is a Canadian Author! Proud ^^ She's written this Women of the Underworld seris. It's pretty awesome. This book has got the only female werewolf now pregnant. Let's see how this pans out....

Here's an update, proper with pictures and all.

I'm doing this while the game is in maintenance. It's going to be all day and I probably won't be able to get into the downloading until late late tomorrow. Most of my LS logged in DA, preparing for the new merger from Hades... That's going to be interesting. I'm told that about 3 HNMLS' are joining our scene. I can't think how crowded DA is going to be, as well as our other HNM spots. The competition between our HNMLS' is enough - to add more? I'm not sure if this is going to be adding excitment or more frustration. Probably a bit of both, mostly the latter. When we're camping versus 1 or 2 other LS', the chances WE claim, or will claim, is still pretty high. Now there is a chance that your LS may not claim over 5-6 LS' , and after a few days of losing claim .. morale is going to go low, people's attitudes are going to drop, and all over negativity.

Thankfully, my HNMLS is super pro and we'll be the ones always claiming. Phew. ;)

Ya know, it's really a shame that SE developers take the time to develop these creepy looking things, all crazy with different TP abilities and moves and yet, no one in their right mind would want to farm on these or even fight them. They're pretty useless, insofar I know. And probably don't drop anything worthwhile. And probably very hard to kill, especially solo. I think. Maybe I should test this theory before typing -- I think I will. Eep!

I played all weekend. It's a little different, but I actually really enjoyed myself, solo and with friends. I farmed a lot, played with Yoli alot (DING 65! Grats YOLI!) I'm thinking of collecting the Fellow points so that she can hear the Opaline Dress outfit. It's pretty!

We caught Sandworm (Serket) and Dark Ixion. He popped near me in my zone and it scared me!

I also helped a couple people getting sea organs (Grats Breeze Gorget Wolf!), also I helped do the crazy BCNM in the La Vaule [S].. you know the one where you have to kill NMs for boxes? That shit was mad easy. Then afterwards we re-collected more boxes from more NMs, and that was fun. I stayed up all night! I'd do it again in a heartbeat, but I really would prefer to be on a job that has movement speed. It just makes me more useful in the harder parts of the game. Plus, my vent is always lagging. That really sucks, but living where I do now, I'm not sure I can change that.

Reason I quit again: She is.

So yesterday I downloaded Audition again. I can't seem to get my last character back. . . although I got my old screename back. I guess it dosen't carry over? It's too bad, considering the amount of beats and Cash I had. :( If you know how to fix it..... halps!

Big News: Morrigan's cuffs. My salvage group is awesome. Morrigan's Cuffs are awesome. BLM is awesome. This, is awesome. Thank you Neebs, Gene, Synth, Chibi, Auron!!

ACP: Did a bit more, I'm on the first real 6-man BCNM part. I nearly died at the silly Mandragora part... thankfully casting Drain on them re-fills your whole HP pool. It's kind of neat, but I think the story part is a little lame. Lame as in gay. Gay as in, cornyyyyyyyyyyyyy. It reminds me a whole bunch of COP, but oh well. Something to do, new things to do...

ANNMs: Okay, THIS is fun. I like this. It's a bit "new" in the sense that the BC's are outside. I did with some people from LS and we learned that you can't go outside the BC area (how big that is I don't know, but I do know you get a warning). Once you're outside, you're screwed. You can't come back in, you can't cast on the other party members, you can't engage or cast on the NMs. They're a bit hard, but I think a good solid stratedy solves everything. I hope to do it again!

BCNMs: Been doing Fe'e. Hope for Synth's club. I have around 500 beastmen seals, it's got to drop at least once!

Here's a quick sky run, a very quick sky god slash fest. I wish the LS did more sky (haven't done a real sky run in months!), but it's a bit "low" for us. Busy enough with HNMs. :)

Have to go to work soon. I'm trying to level DNC a bit in campagin. Man is it ever slow... I want to get some real good EXP parties to work it up. 75 please! D: I have so many other merits to get........ boobooboo.

Have you started this yet? I'm really excited. It's something small but new to do... you don't seem to need THAT many people to complete it either. Good things come in small packages, right? ^^ I've helped some friends do the end stuff before I even started, and look at some of the outcomes!

So, today in the game's been great. Really, really great and really, really fun!

I went into SSG with Eugene and we started to farm some Sahagins. I guess some of the new WHM spells drops from them. Eugene had already farmed up 2 spells.... I have the BEST friends. I may not be lucky in (any) other area, but if all my luck went into befriending the best kinds of people, I'm blissful. Thank you Eugene! Now I've played with Auspice and Cura. I really like Auspice... I even got to try it out in our Salvage run tonight. Which leads too...

I can't wait to try out all the new neato things. The thing is, all the new WHM magic is hella expensive at NPC. SE is mean. I want to get them all... and I might just get Auspice at 30-someK at NPC for salvages.. but the rest can wait. I'm sure I'll be able to farm them up. Like I did tonight, with ENSTONE II ! GRATS GENE! I can't wait to farm up the rest. It's going to be difficult the next couple days but eh, that's the fun of it right? :)

So today in the game I spent some time with Synthetik, where we were able to finally play some good DD on DD. He built a really good exp pt that we sync'd in Qufim and dinged a few levels. I'm 40DRG now! Yay!

Look! Today it snowed and I think Christmas came early. Thanks Synthetik... You really didn't need to, but it's going to be a really fun toy for me to play with. Now, let's go kill Fe'e, I'm sure he's going to drop your Kraken soon!!!!!!! I've got sooo many BC seals we gotta burn up... I talked with a mathematician today and he taught me about probability... It'll probably drop soon!

So, tonight I had to work. Then I jogged home. Then I drank some sour milk. And now I'm waiting in front of the SSR Gilded Doors to go in. Let's hope for some morrigan hands drop tonight!!

I forgot about this until someone reminded me of it. Someone, whom I never thought would return to the game, said they actually read this wall of crap. That really surprized me! Maybe I'll try and keep this going a little bit. Probably not.

FFXi Updates...

Whew, since April, right? Man oh man, did you miss an exceptional summer... BLM is now 75 done the duo-on-pets way. That was amazing. PLD is also 75 because Campaign is wonderfully easy on a tank job. SCH is 37, a lovely addition to my WHM as a sub... I was so grateful to it in Dynamis-San d'Oria last night when Raise III was only costing me 150MP and I had to re-raise a certain BRD over and over and over.... Yeah, I play favorites. ^^;

I've scored some awesome gear, both from the Linkshell (TY) and from a very stubborn botting-friend who FINALLY got banned, even after all my warnings. It's kinda sad, but he really dosen't care. /sigh. Thanks Arucardo, you always had too much gil to spend. :P Oh, and my most recent aquirement was my obis, the lightning and ice one. I'm thinking of doing Dark next, but I'm going to space out the next real sea-farming day. ^^; Thanks to those who helped, as you always do ;)

I haven't been able to progress through missions as much as I had hoped... I wanted to do Bastok to Rank 10. I'd need a whole weekend to zoom through that.. but getting on for longer than an event is tough enough.

I've been doing more zNMs, just as a helper. I don't see the need to scramble and get points, people are kind enough to let items go to free lot and I've been lucky a few times. 4/5 on the Oracle's set, it's a good resting set. I don't have full yigits and thats really too much time to do!

What else, what else. Ah, I don't know. I'll try and post some pictures.. I still snap at least 10 everytime I'm on. :)

Nya RDM tails

Okay, so I have more to say today. Mostly about Red Mage...

I've been 75 for a little over a month now, actually. And, while I intended the job to be more of my solo purposes, and, while we have like 47634 RDMs in the LS, I've still been asked to go to a few events on RDM (They're also trying to get me to level DRK, which is 31 now). It's not really a problem.. I mean, I don't mind .. I like RDM. But I find I'm not nearly as comfortable as if I were on WHM or BRD. It's just practice, I know.

Some events, like Limbus, RDM is basically a WHM. And I don't sweat at that. But other events.. I get scurrred. Very, very scurrred.

Last Tiamat Pop:

There was very few people on LS, and those who were on rushed, including me. I think I was on BLM at the time so I just changed jobs to RDM and took whatever gear I had with me. I was missing a few valuable pieces, namely a BELT but it's commmon practise for WW peeps to just claim, settle, and then change jobs to something more important. I really thought I'd be amoung those who had to change jobs. When I got there though, I was invited to tank PT. Then I started to worry... because no other RDMs were coming. Then I really started to worry when we didn't have the people to settle while others changed jobs. Then I reallllly started to worry when the fight wasn't going smoothly. Then I started to panic when I can't reliably land Slow 2 and I was missing Refresh cycle while curing, hasting, etc etc, with gimp gear. People from other Ls' were examining me and it was a little embarrasing -- I don't have great RDM gear, I don't have many macros because it's mostly just a solo thing.

We won Tiamat, and got Gaiters. Which is great -- but it was a pretty slob fight.

Then the other day we did another Ouryu and I was asked to go RDM. Fine, NP. But really, I was panicking. I had no comfortable idea what the fuck to do. I was in Melee PT and I just.. did everything I could. I Refreshed, Hasted my peoples... I kept far away worms silenced and elementals slept. I could hardly keep up my own MP but the fights went really quick.. thankfully. We broke record with a 24 minute Ouryu. Which was cool. I'm slowly getting practise in.. it's a strange feeling not knowing exactly what to do at any given second. Noone's really scolded me so far, so maybe I'm doing allright.

Salvages are every day now. It's fun but god, it gets boring quick. Every day I'm being asked to do Golden Salvage assault for points... and while I do want to help and not be an emo SMN, I've taken like 5x longer to rank up because I'm using up assault tags the day I get them. There's rarely any room for me to do new assaults and when I do, I usually make 2-3 people emo because I don't do Golden Salvage FOR them. sheesh. I tried to do new runs with a certain RDM but it dosent seem to work out. It's really frustrating and sometimes I'd just rather not go at all. But, I still go. And when I'm there I enjoy myself.

At the moment, I'm in Sacraium with Tzaellia et Co., farming some Subligar. I don't particularly need any subligar, but I was in the area (EXP Quest) and thought it'd be fun to help out. Buut as it turns out, with RDM and 2x DNC, me being WHM is fairly useless. So, I thought I'd take a minute and update this 'blog' a little bit.

I'm not doing too much these days, I've been in FFXi most of my free time. I think it's shown because my linkshell has been pretty good to Nya;

Seriously, a BRD's dream come true! I was shocked and stunned and a wee bit embarrased to say I might have shed a tear or 2, at most!

A couple notable updates:

RDM75 [Convert Lv.5, Ice Accuracy Lv.2, Slow II Lv.1], Mythril Star 2, Second Lieutentent, Marduk Shalwar, BLM40.

Thats right: Next up, BLM!!! I'm really enjoying the solo part... It's not nearly as hard as I thought it would be.

Weekend Update, with Nya-noh!

This weekend was pretty fun. I'm back into that hardcore phase of FFXi where the game is on from the moment I wake up to the moment I go to sleep. I'm not necessarily in front of it - I still did some chores and walked away to stretch for a while but still. My computer is getting mad at me... I gave it a break now when the fan has to work over drive suddenly... eep! hehe.

So, let's see.. I know I don't have any screenshots.. I've tried to make some but I don't use the Avril Windower anymore.. I should. The screenies I get from using FFXI windower suck ass. Avril Windower is just making me nervous, with all the hackings (I know most of it was done by Somepage.com but still... I'm worried). But who knows.

Wall-o-text isn't fun to read, I know. But for the few that are interested, here was Nya's weekend;

Saturday's Accomplishments:

Assaults~ This SAM in my LS let it slip that he knows how to solo a Periqia assault. And that he'd help me out! *Squeee* I'm just a little over halfway to gettting the Gomlek! Woop. I did 4 assaults and that resulted in 4 new wins, which resulted in a Rank up ! I can get my SM wildcard now.... after I pass the mini games Naja makes me do @@; I've never had to run through so much hoops from a Mithra as I do for Naja. Well... That's not entirely true............ ;)

Level~ 71RDM. Woop. I can wear Hierarch belt (for MP). Most of my EXP pts I just slap on MP gear. Whats the point in enfeebling birds? Not too much.

Maws~ Thanks to Eulvin, I finally got all my maws and explored places I haven't been yet. That was fun!

Swift Belt Run - It went so so super smooth at first, I was amazed. 3 people knew their way around the maze and we knew exactly where to go, and we went 3/3 drops for Swift belt. We also got some panties (I got the good RDM one! YAY!) but then some people needed to leave and we eventually went 3/6. Boo. But... hey... it still went well.

Sunday's Accomplishments

BLU~ Helped Ovuge get 4 missing spells. The first one was Diamondhide. Mowgul helped tank but Ovuge didn't learn it. Mowgul had to leave for dinner (who needs to eat!) and so Ovuge and I went to the zone and tried to tank one on our own. They conned T to me, a T troll PLD is mean. But! We duo tanked like pros. I was RDM/WHM so I used Blink as my shadows, Aquaveil as my backup and Stoneskin as my life force. It died, we survived, and Ovuge learned Diamondhide!!! haha. . then I noobed out and sneaked/invisibled Ovuge and ran out and aggroed all the crawlers. Awesome.

EXP ~ Recapped Bard. Phew ^^;

Dynamis - We did Valkrum. My ls is made of pro. Someone accidentally stunned the boss, and without any prep time for 2hours or bard songs, we killed it without too many (any?) deaths. Not too many good drops.. I was really hoping for Roundlet-1, but I did get the Bard Cape. Thanks youuuu <3

Hellu.

I took a bit of a break ... on game and from blogging. I didn't have the time nor the motivation to post too much. A lot has been happening in my real life that drains all my energy. Fucking work. Anywhoo~

So I'm back into the full swing of things. I really enjoy the game again. I've been focusing most of my time on RDM. I recently achieved 70! Woop! Mostly thanks to my WW mates who do crazy ass merit parties. And thanks to Mowgul who has also put in some time in levelling in the gruesome 60's.

WW has still been very kind to me. I still really enjoy them and honestly can't think of a better group on Cerberus. Sure, there are some.. asshats... but, they make the world go round ya? If there wasn't so many people calling you a slob and a fagget, would you ever try harder? ........................................................ It's a shock to more laid back people that join WW. They don't really know what they're getting themselves in to. But, after time, they learn when and where they can relax. ^^;

DRAMA - LLAMAS

Fuck you, DG. Honestly, what a turd. Are you that bored with FFXi that you have to make a complete ass out of yourself? You're right, 5 year old content is fucking OLD. WW vs KON is just as boring as ever. I miss when Resurgance was a competition (/laugh), it got KON looking somewhere else for the most part.

So, apparently, some WW killed a charmed KON. Whooppeeefuckindooo. So, KON comes and kills a charmed WW. Over... and over......... and over........................ and over. "An Eye for an Eye Makes the Whole World Blind". Okay, I don't expect you to have THAT high of a maturity level. I understand most of you fucking kids are still in college and dealing with "finding yourself". That's fine. But, getting 2 characters banned on the same day is stupid. Getting 1 character banned because you're trying to get revenge for your linkshell is just... you're screwing over your linkshell even more because they'll lose a good character.

It's pretty gay. I want to stay out of it. Everyone's got their opinon, and thats mine. Childless, mindless, 5 year old drama. They're all llamas. hehe.

I've gotten a few cool things recently. Relic WHM hands. ^^ Relic PLD legs. ^^ Merit pts - exp for RDM (I consider that a gift since most people are elitests and expect me to keep up with a 75 rdm). Oh! Before my break, I obtained Nashira Hands!!!!! YAY!!

I don't have much else to say. I'm really enjoying my time lately. I've been having some fun in the Tree with Eugene. That's been a blast. The LS have been doing steady events - Limbus, Omegas, Ultimas, Ouryu (I love being WHM here) and Bahamut 2. Dynamis'.. mostly the outlands.. which seem to get easier and easier. Ah, the joys of FFXi.

I'm about to quit my job. Orz.

Wow - so much has happened that I haven't written or screenshotted about. I got some inspiration today so let's see if I can't recap on the past little while.

Rianon left Cerberus last night. It's a sad thing, but due to the many other ways to keep in touch, it won't be that difficult. I hope you find a good niche on Fairy, Rianon!

Homeslizzle & Madsic left the game. QUIT. Finito. THAT SUCKS. Even after they got accepted into WW. I heard that Sic screwed up royally ... and that happens from time to time.. but I couldn't help to wince and say 'oh, crap'. When they joined, and Tzaellia joined, I was estatic. THE BOYS FROM THE HOOD! oh well. I still have Tza in WW, and I really think he's fitting in well. Why shouldn't he, a great player and very warm person. Yay ^^

Speaking of WW : we claimed Tiamat yesterday for FULL DROPS (woop).

Over the holidays, I was sick as a dog with the flu. So what did I do.. I leveled RDM! All the way to 66. YAY! Thanks to my Pascaleee for the River gaiters. Wheee. Mowgul got to 75SAM. Way to go!

Okay work is over, but I think I'll be updating this a little more often. Not with anything interesting, mind you. But I'll try. :P

That's right. DRF is no more. That's a right shame, and even though I wasn't IN the LS at the T.o.D, I sure felt it. A lot of chats with former members, even the previous Head Honcho. Not to offend, but DRF was DRD to me when Mogknight left. There was a lot of potential and a lot of victories for DRF. Too bad it's over. According to www.rianon.net [former website - which 2 people worked so damn hard over.. what a bloody waste..]

The real real bummer is that my husband, Pascale, sure got the ass end of things. Seriously - it burns my britches. Thats right. Burns my britches. But Seriously! The end leaders really screwed up somewhere and had they just followed their own goddamn rules then Pascale would have had the Haidate he should have gotten months ago. /sigh. That's life. Sorry baby. :( We'll get it, don't you worry! Even if I have to pay WW to fight it for you =)

Yesterday I had a lovely day in Windurst Past. I found a friend, drunk, teehee, in a corner and he played campaign with me. It was so much fun!! We were the suicide partners! He really has the guts to Sleepga2 all those yags that was kicking our fort in. Haha! I won't forget that for a long time. BTW - Congradulations on your Robe, Bloodyboo!!

I haven't had any screenshots up in awhile. It's difficult with this new windowed version provided by SE, which of course, FAILS. I miss the other windower, I miss the ability to PrintScreen, the ability to change my gamma at any given point (once I learned how from a certain galka Summoner <3). The current windowed version I use has fucked up lighting. Sometimes its too damn dark, other times it's blinding. For example, in the new areas: Batallia Downs [S] is soo blinding the texture on the ground is really messed up and looks less like grass and more like an acid wash. But Garliage Citadel [S] is so dark I'll often miss a turn because the walls blend too well into the hallways. Bleh.

Azril Windower, YES PLEASE!

Lately, my LS has been doing a lot of Ouyru's. The big guy! I've been coming WHM in the tank party and I've got to say, I LOVE IT! I love how busy and stressful it is. I'm always on my toes, always hurrying to my next macro, reading the chat log as quick as I can. We're lucky to have a relic bard in our PT too, combined with a RDM's Refresh, and /SMN, my MP is non-stop. The PLD's we use are usually self sufficient, so I'm there doing buffs really. ProtectraV, ShellraV(I need more merits into this ;;), Barstonra (luv af2 pants, need blessed body x.x;), Aerial Armor (when Ouryu hits the ground), Erase+Haste (Bai/Gay! wing), RegenIII, and even Shining Ruby from Carbuncle if I have the spare time/mp. Oh, and RaiseIII to the closest BLMs that get smacked. It's fun. I could do it again and again and again.

Sunday, we did Dynamis-Beaucedine. We popped a NM for someone in the LS (the DRK?) and killed. Unfortunatly, we only got the att. for bow. Boohoo.

BUT!

Good news for Nya, the LS treated me with a LOQUASIOUS EARRING!

Wild, eh? I was so shocked. I had thought the leader just needed help with something quick like an NM. He was giving out COP earrings to other people(Grats!) but I didn't assume.. Anyway. Wheee for me!

I don't think I'll need anything else from that, really. Happy ^^

Last night I completed some more Campain Ops for windurst. It's fun, I like the small little solo stuff they're giving us. I like how the windurst section has a lot of CS npc's that look like my character ^^

I also went searching for my RDM pant af1 in Garliage Citadel. Thankfully SE has given us a back way into that stupid stronghold. By going into the past in Rolanberry, I can sneak to the past Citadel, get through the citadel, and come to to the present time on the top ledge (where Roc pops). This gives me access to behind the Banishing Gates #3.

However.

Still no access behind Banishing Gate #2, where most of the coffer spots are. -.-; I saw the treasure coffer box, on a ledge, jusssssssssst out of reach. Bleh. nothing I could do. But I spawned a debate between enhancing and magic and mind and stoneskin on RDM.

Level up! Nyanoh obtains Level 54!

Yay, now I can go for the hands. I probably won't bother right away... They don't give as much MP as my Savage armor does. But it's nice to know I can work on that. There are a few other things I need to get for my RDM, including the Moldavite earring. I'm not in a huge rush because a) I rarely cast elemental spells when in EXP pts and b) campping ; ;

I hope another Beseiged comes around so I can re-cap elemental and dark skills.

I wanted to try a campaign with Gene last night, but never got the chance. He logged early and I was in a RDM pt (I got an invite like as soon as I logged on, loved it, Ty simba) so that was sucky. Too bad I"m obsessed with getting RDM to 70s.. man!

Then we had salvage. I captured a couple more screenshots... now that I"m using SE's windower, my print screen dosen't seem to work. Booo. Maybe I'll still use the old school windower..

Salvage was fun.. I enjoy being BRD. Sure, we were 1.5 hrs late getting in.. thankfully we started hella early.. I was pissing and moaning but when we started I liked it. But then! orz. nevermind, hehe. All I'm going to say is:

I like the challenge of pulling the mobs quickly... if songs didn't take so freaking long to cast.. but also the non-linkage of gears. It was too easy at first because the room was only with 3 mobs.. its pfft np. But it'll get harder I"m sure. I need to get some more salvages as BRD under my belt.

When Aht Urgan expansion came out, I wasn't so excited. I became frustrated at those who freaked out about the new jobs and would speculate and talk and make up things about the new expansion (right before it was released). When the expansion came out, I was so sick of it already that I didn't care. I hated to be in the new areas, I didn't bother with the missions for the longest time, I didn't bother with assaults, I refused to level anywhere but old places, etc etc. I was very resistant.

But WotG is different! I"M SO EXCITED! :D I love the new areas, I think they're so pretty and cool and the music is neat and the campaign ideas are fun and I'm already a cobra! Hail to the tarus! =) While I was at my conference in Winnipeg this weekend, Pascale got it all set up for me. He helped me get the cutscenes I needed and helped me get the basic Maws. I want to go exploring with him! TY PASCALE <3

I heard from a very good friend that Pixie's help you out by curing you and even raising you when you die. I want to try this out! I also want to try out the campaign and fight those pesky Yagudos. WHO"S WITH ME!

In other news...

OvaBLU and I have been having fun with our RDM and BLU. We've managed to be in the same PTs often, and it's good. BLU is super powerful and fun to watch. Yesterday we both leveled at the same time (Congratulations!) and now I'm RDM Level 53! Yay!

We did Dynamis-Xarc and of course defeated Dynamis Lord. Grats to those who got drops. I logged soon after DL's death because I knew I needed to get up early and I was already falling asleep. I hope people in WW don't get too frustrated with me always leaving early. I don't really care though. If I don't get enough sleep, I don't do well at my job, and I don't get to pay for FFXi.

I think tonight is Salvage. /sigh. I wouldn't be so discouraged if we went earlier. I used to think that it would be okay, that going to bed at 1am is alright. Now and then it's fine. But every Monday and Wednesday? This is becoming too much. I wonder if I should just find a replacement. I want the salvage gear really badly, but I hate being tired at my job. I need to be on my toes. I don't know how these other people do it!

Speaking of which, I really ought to get back to work. For those who are still reading this (wtf is wrong witchyoo) and I'm sorry for the lack of sceenshots ; ; I'll get some up soon as I can.

You have no idea how miserable I felt. I had no absolutly NO intention of doing it.. It's all part of the first macro bar? ya know? yeah. Instead of cure spamming Mowgul I CFH on JoL.
ORZ. I was really surprized how calm they were when it happened. Had I been in higher place's, I would have punished the caller a little. YES YES above everyone I KNOW it was an accident. I'm very well aware of the Main Alliance rules etc. But jesus. I guess I'm still under the impression that JOL is just a step under AV in the awesomness of fighting it alone. I still get excited and marvel at the huge UFO.

Oh well.

Instead of punishing me, they decided to reward me a little with a Novia earring. SQUEE!!!! I need to publish some more screenshots so you can see how prewtttty it is.

Level Up! Nyanoh(RDM) reaches Level 51!

Woop. Staves, prz. Thanks to Gene, one of my most favored RDMs, I'm getting the hang of this. I love to play RDM. I cannot wait until I can bring it to places where it shines (SEA!!!!!!!!!!!) I'm tired of being only a brd and only able to support. RDM can do everything. EVERYTHING! muwahahaha.
Levelling will slow for a bit.. my conference in Winnipeg.. orz. But it'll get better / easier because I'll have some decent gear. And exp only gets quicker.

What else.. what else...

SALVAGE. I'm starting to regret signing up for salvage. I suppose its because my group can ONLY ONLY ONLY ONLY go very late at night. It's supposed to just be late at night, but no. Of course people are later than expected and people need to get set up and buy meds, etc. Understandable, for sure. But while I don't mind staying up a night here or there, when I'm feeling under the weather or when certain situations arise, I get pressure from people to stay. If I don't stay, I really feel like I'm letting down the group. Because 3 specific people have jobs, we can only compromise so much (none, i mean). Maybe it's because we don't have many people. We should get another couple of heads.. although that means less chances of drops for you. I wouldn't mind waiting another month for a silly piece of gear if it meant I can sleep when I need to and not feel like I let down an entire group of people. Like I'm being selfish for wanting sleep so I can do MY OWN FUCKING JOB to the best of my ability the next day. /endrant. :)

I'll probably get hit for saying all this but so be it. I miss the salvages early on weekend mornings. That was something to really look forward to and I was always awake and bright and excited. Now I have to drone through them at night. Bleh. I'm goign to do a terrible job pulling and I'll get yelled at/scoffed at and I'll feel bad about myself because I really do try at being a good BRD. I'm not the best late at night.. and I pay for it.

Catch Up

Hai.
I haven't updated in a few days (all week). Mostly due to RL stuff. My grandfather's wake and funeral was .. awful, really, but it went off without any problems. It was a beautiful casket and a very well kept cemetary. I hope I never have to witness something like that again.
Now my husband is sick and my focus is on him. Lucky for me, work this week has been nice. Aside from missing 1 1/2 days, it's just been me and the other girl that I really like. We have fun and joke around, we both love exquiste food so lunches have been delightful.
BLAH BLAH BLAH.

Last night in FFXi!!!!!!!! (Now I know you're listening)

I got on a little late, and Mowgul said Dynamis might be cancelled because we have do go claim Fafnir. In Cerberus, we used to have an "alliance" agreement with another HNMLS. We'd take turns over weeks, and agree not to claim against each other. Well, that folded like a prostitute that was punched in the gut by a fat redneck. So that meant that I had free time between then and 9PM. I turned on my RDM flag and waited around......waited.......waited............/sigh.......waited........
Finally a tank showed its face and I was on my way to making a good PT.
UNTIL!
The decided to do Dynamis afterall.
ORZ!
Too late, I PT'd for at least the 45 minutes I had. I got RDM LEVEL 38! Not that it's impressive but RDM is no longer just a sub. It's a level above a sub. I'm getting there. I'm having fun with my gears and stats. As it stands, I can have MND+20 on whm sub (INT+10) with no food. That allows me to land slow on a crawler 99% of the time (so far). Paralyze procs a lot and the fights are much easier.

So Dynamis.. Mowgul was PL'ing my RDM PT (big surprize, ty mowmow) and he ran out towards jeuno with me (both forgot warps.. again... noobies..) and I thought I'd make his run interesting. Have you ever just.. Ran? I ran. I ran without sneak and invisible and anything else, I just ran. Aggro'd a lot. Mowgul tried to keep me alive and for the most part he did. :)

We finally got to Jueno and I changed to BRD, we got tele, we got into PT. I was invited to BLM PT (phew, an easy task).... but was soon told that once little miss sexy relic gets there, I'm booted. Orz. ; ; But then I got invited into a shortbus mage PT.. even easier!!

There was a lot of drops.. MNK.. DRK.. WAR.. more t han we've been getting before. Tried for Dynamis lord (this is where there will be screenshots). I've gotta say... NYA>DL!!!!! hahahaha.

You'll see why.

This is a long weekend for me.. so I can help out the LS much much more.

Oh! And Mowgul got BST to 15. That means we're partners in .. beasting... woop.

After sitting in sea bored, I didn't think the weekend could get much better. My curse kind of followed me around a little, and of course being the naughty little mithra I am, I had to inflict it on others! Sorry Mowgul! Our Like the Wind ENM - which is usually fairly easy for us - went terribly wrong. Somehow, for some reason, the Race Runner was spammmmmming Aeroga III - So much so that Mow ran out of MP and the bastard killed me off. We tried to Raise back up and kill it with all we have, only I chose a bad Blood Pact to 2 hour with (I only brought my Auster staff ;;). OH WELL!!!! That means LtW owes both Mowgul and I something much better. We're owed 238476357 Cloud Evokers, and 12876 Maneaters! Rawr! >:}

We were about to attempt Uninvited Guests, but after switching up all my gears in the Safetold, Cerberus popped. Hurry hurry! I scampered on over as is, which meant my 75SMN with juuuuust enough gear to cover my bottom. It was fun... no big numbers to publish. We had a great number of DRKs with us so Tiamat got damaged capped on his feet very quickly. I was only able to land 2 PC per land, and it wasn't because I was slow. No great drops to report on... (I think my curse followed me here, too!! Sorry peeps ;x )

Sommmme taru in particular who is in charge of calling Dynamis' made my night better, I have to stay. Dynamis-Qufim was called, and I needed that win. So already I thought the night was showing some promise. For the first time in awhile, the LS had more people than they could manage. That nearly resulted in us doing a different dynamis, but thankfully YF was in Xarc. Yey. So - enter. And! I completely forgot that you "die" as you enter in a COP dyanmis (or does that only happen once - the first time you go in? ) Regardless, I got a cool CS and I was looking forward to doing something brand spankin' new.

No more than 5 minutes pass, and I'm impressed. Excited, having a good time. No more than 7 minutes pass and I'm freaking out! Look at that Treasure Pool!!!!!!!!! Nyanoh obtains Cleric's Pantaloons!!! I have to say thank you to my LS again because I was able to look that item. And, we got a double WAR drop. Too bad that piece isn't really useful...

The blocked out bottom part of that screenshot was a neat place to run through - you see those 2 statues on either side? We had to avoid those.. the LS was taking bets who would aggro and what not, it was a funny little game. No one aggroed, we were safe. I just thought that was neat.

The ugly giant is Qufim's Mega boss... once we killed him I got the ??? and finally unlocked the ability to go into Dynamis-Tavnazia. Wheeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!

We did get some more good drops... RDM belt (Grats Sweetcheeks!), PLD-1, RNG belt, SAM belt, and I think I'm forgetting some other things. That went well!

Usually I'd be sad that tomorrow is Monday, but honestly - I'm so glad this weekend is over. This upcoming week is going to be a rollarcoaster for me. Here's me and my moogle, signing out for the weekend. I want to thank a certain BRD for his lullaby. I think I'll sleep well tonight!

This weekend has been pretty unlucky for me. I think Mowgul summed it up pretty good when he said:
I think it started with our Second B2 run on Friday? was it? Dragon Staff dropped and it would have been a good enough piece for capped places. So I lotted and won that lot but then someone lotted in the last like 3 seconds and got it over me. No biggie. Then we do a slew of KSNM99 yesterday and there was a total of 12 orbs that we needed to get through. I kept rolling reallly small numbers.. like 2 digits... until I was amoung the last 4 to roll. It wasn't the best of days for most people, but we averaged a weapon off the orbs. The cool thing was we broke the record.. and then we kept breaking our own records! haha! My orb gave me... nothing. Literally. I lotted a couple potions for salvage, but I even lost those lots. Simply unlucky.

We did a couple Limbus' last night. Malend joined the LS, which is wicked. We were able to divvy up the groups a bit and do a couple different limbus' at once - That's really great because it takes less Limbus runs to get to Omega/Ultima. I'm sure we're still working on Omega run because who wants to do ULTIMA?! Besides me and every other Mage, that's who!

So far, today has been a good day. Mowgul PL'd my RDM pt for a couple of hours, and regardless of the noobiness of some of the people, we were doing really well. We could keep Chain 5 and continue to pull. I obtained Level 35!!! Slowly but surely, right? It's fun, I like it.

My exp'ing was interrupted by an LS mate who popped Jailor of Temperance. We gathered pretty quickly I think.. the fight was a little messy but we recovered npok and killed npok. Rounding up a bunch of sea pops for more sea gobs. The LS seems busier lately because more and more people are showing up. I suppose the students are settling into their routine and it's getting colder outside.

ATM I'm sitting (/sit) in Sea while a PT is farming for Ix'DRG. After Temperance died I stayed behind to get another deed with a couple of BLMs.. which turned into a couple more BLMs and another RDM.. so it was a great set up. Another BRD came and guess what? He has the Horn Relic. Gjahhllorrhn or w/e. So of course I'm kicked out of my PT and sent to the alliance of nothing and I'm litterally sitting here and doing nothing with the party I set up. Unlucky.

I haven't updated in a day *gasp* mostly because of work. Boofrickyhoo. I haven't done too much in the game.. let's see... Recap!

Yesterday I did a merit party.

My LS did a battle against Bahamut, Version 2. The meaner, badder, scarier, most vile enemy in the game. He's brutal and rage.. and...

I think I missed the fight. Seriously. I had to buff my party.. haste my DRKs.. and then.. it was over. Look how lucky we are to have a nice leader that says encouraging words :) (Wait until you see what she says when we screw up....it's like wooden spoons against a bare ass... *shiver*).

Anyway - I've been trying to level RDM on the side. I don't think I'll stick with the SP that much. I keep looking for my elf buddy but he's not online. Taru pld isn't either. I won't have that much time on the game today so I was hoping to get into a party fairly early in the morning. that dosen't happen!! Sooo I play with my pank-e-mon pet s'more. Under the Sea! Temp, Ix, Faith, Justice & Prudence.

It was Sea Gods last night. Most people moan and groan but I personally really like Sea so I was happy. I was even happier when they told me to just come on SMN (Mowgul had logged me out near Tiamat as SMN already). They were able to pop Temperance and was fighting when I got there. Pro stuff. Then I realized something...
WTF DO I DO ON SMN?! Eeeeep!
I've farmed sea on SMN solo before - but that's a big different story. SMN vs Sea Gods... man oh man. I think I landed 2... 3? 2 "0" dmg Blood pacts. By the end of the fight I learned which BP would be best on which phase Temperance was in, but that's freaking useless. oh god. I felt like a large piece of gimpsauce. Just need more practice! I didn't get a screenshot of us killing Temperance because I was in panic mode trying to sort out my BPs and keep our brilliant tanks alive. BLEH! I'll learn. I want to be a good SMN in every occassion - just takes trial and err. Though, VVVV doesn't stand for ERR. It stands for WEBEATTHESHITOUTOFCRAP.
Kind galkaSMN and Mowgul gave me pointers. galkaSMN did tell me that SMN isn't best out here, so I wasn't missing anything essential.

Anywhoo..

Next up: Ix'DRG!

Now, THAT's a sea god I'm very familiar with! :D We had a rough start.. something about *someone* linking Ix'DRG with everything else. Sometimes it can't be helped if DRG pops on your first Aern.. but still! boo. We survived though. OFCUZ. I came in and target locked the "toogoodfor40cap"PLD and hoped he could stay alive. Basically closed my eyes and Cure II + III spam! -Thats- what SMN is good for. I had nearly 1300 MP to just sit there and keep him alive.
After many deaths and people running around..
We got the deed. Yay!!

Do you know how Short I feel sometimes? heehee.

Thennnn we did a little Faith, Justice and Prudence.

Faith was great - really smooth and really quick. I even got Diabolos' Nether Blast off a few times. Woop woop. Yay for deed and Grats for weapon.

Justice was fun. Riddle: What happens when VVVV fights a monster that does Charm?
Answer:

Prudence is a pain in the arse. At first you wouldn't think those pussy goldfish swimming around wouldn't be so darn tough. That's why I'm hiding behind the bushes when I cure Mowgul and the other tanks. I don't want Prudence to see me! @.@

Tiamat didn't pop before I went to bed. I probably missed it. ;/ boohoo. Oh well - that means that maybe tonight's Dynamis won't be postponed.

Grats2U Elf for catching up. Now our little SP is well rounded level wise. I hope we'll get somewhere on Saturday, pending Ls events. It'll be difficult I think.. at least at first... cuz everyone's schedule is different. Thats the shitty thing about SP, isn't it? You need to coordinate your time well or it all goes to hell. It helps when you're in the same LS but those who don't have an LS *ahem* have to wait around. Bleh to Sp.
But then you get a PT without your SP with some bunch of snot nosed newbs, and you're grateful again.

Grats2U [SavageCritter] Level 19! My Pank-e-mon's gaining levels quick because there's only 3 minutes in between fights. There was this one ram that I thought I was always loose to.. he'd get my pet's HP to like 40 and his HP would be like 90. Then [SavageCritter] would use a TP move and BAM. Dead Ram. kekekekee. I think I named my pet right. He'll only listen to me when I use the option in the Speaker's Tubes = "Show No Mercy!!!!" lol. I love my wyvern.

Proto-Omega, Pank-e-mon, and RDM

Last night inVana'diel...

We did Proto-Omega. What I like about being in VV VV is that Omega's not a big deal, really. We gathered fairly quickly, found the flower quite simply, (although a few slobs died...), and entered in once everyone finished fake afk-ing. They brought it down really easily, and decided to hold omega to farm the Gunpods. I don't think any other LS I was in was capable of doing that. We got a Smoky Chip (free NE Apollyon!), a MNK item (Grats sexikitty) and a NIN item (grats taruuu). When the timer was nearly up, they blasted down Omega and we got a Hands item and Feet item. GRATS TO MOWGUL! for your new homan. and GRATS FOR SUPERDRK! for the other homan. I think he completed a Homan set last night, that's worth celebrating.

Rest of the night was uneventful. I got in a lot of pokemon'ing.. gay, yes but I had a turn every 3 minutes so I took advantage of that fact and now my Wyvern [SavageCritter] is Level 14. Woop!

Then I got a RDM pt. Mowgul PL'd, thank you, as well as B33R, thank you. I learned just how important that SP I should have waited for was. Do you know how awful it is to party with noobs? I'm not an elitest by any means, but I'm intolerant of slow people. "Durrrr .. how do you attackkk?" Oh well. I shouldn't complain, because my RDM is now level 31!! ding ding ding!! I believe that means I can stop playing in the jungles. 1 more level until Dispel! 1 more level until Savage body! I'll look like a little kitty slut for awhile. that's nice.

Merits on the Mind... I ought to merit some and cap out my bar-spell resists. I'm enjoying the Cure-reduction so far... I was going to go for Regen but this LS (especially this certain tank) picks on the Resistence factor. If I want to be tank-worthy all the time, I'll have to match the other 2 super WHMs in the LS. gah. MERIT TIME MOWGUL! DOUBLE BRD LETS GOOO!

Ouryu x 2

Yesterday we did Ouryu x 2. It was pretty fun - I'm always up for a big scary dragon. In the tank party, there was 2 WHM, I was one of them. Since the other WHM had Bar-spell merits, AF2 pants and feet, she was in charge of all that. We were both /SMN, but I took on the AA responsibility. We each took a PLD and focused our first spells on them (Erase, Haste). Both fights went very well.. minimal deaths (never the plds! hee!). The second fight was harder because Ouryu kept doing Gai Wing (GAY WING) and it felt like as soon as I applied Haste, I had to erase and re-apply Haste. Gaaay winnnng. Oh well. It was fun! Mowgul and I really need to get a Cloud Evoker to drop! Grrr!

I had a wonderful day on Sunday!

First,
I was able to exp my RDM and dinged Level 29! The fun part was levelling with an LS mate on his taru PLD. We were supposed to SP with 2 others, neither which were online. :( Now I'll have to PL a certain Elf<3>Second,
I had went out for the afternoon with my mother and brother, and we witnessed the first snow fall in our city. YAY CANADA! YAY SNOW! (No, that's not sarcasm, I love my winters).

Third,
My Pokemon Wyvern leveled to 9! Haha! He was beaten badly in all his battles, but you still get rewards for losing. I think I'm going to try and put a bit more effort.. I'll get a black mandy OR! What I saw was those big puffer fish.. maybe I can get my hands on one of those.

Fourth,
My linkshell was setting up for Dynamis-Beaucedine.
My previous LS, DRF, were being dickheads to my friend. So, he came along and joined in our Dynamis! YAY!!!!!!!!! He did very well, too, not that THAT's new news. One of my most favorite RDMs. YAY!!!!!!!!!!! We had to switch shells (rejuvenating the current LS I'm in) and I hope my friend will stay. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fifth,
Someone very special popped her head in on my server. I was /shocked and /surprized and /thrilled and /shocked and /giddy... Now the countdown begins until she brings her main character to our home....

Sixth,
I witnessed something in Dynamis last night that I don't believe a lot of players have. We only got 2 worthwhile drops. First drop: Summoner's Doublet (Grats Lav!!) Second drop: Summoner's Doublet (GRATS MEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) People were very kind and so supportive I was bewelidered and excited and honestly jumping up and down and around. Yey!

Fafnir, Uncontested. Surprized? If you're on Cerberus, you wouldn't be. I'm always feeling bad for the JPs... really.... they have no chance.

Einjerahrheirn.... We went in Wing 1. The mobs were pretty easy, Bats and Dark Elementals. I think it's the first time I didn't die... yay! Although we didn't defeat the boss.. it was a Madrid and it has this awful awful move to cure itself for over 6k!!!! EEEK!! Everyone 2houred and we still couldn't take it down fast enough. Oh, did I forget to mention? The Madrid in here also had Chigoes. Yup. Freaking buttards.... taking down the melee one by one. That's what eventually killed me.. o oh well. It would be neato to fight Odin, I've seen those screenshots. Have you seen the rewards from Einehrehrei? (If you haven't picked up on it yet, when I cannot spell something correctly, I just mash the keyboard)

Record Time!

This morning I didn't feel like going into work right away....

So Mowgul and I tried our luck on Uninvited Guests. I think we have a record of a duo who has not once gotten a Cloud Evoker for any of our ENMs. We do Like the Wind religiously, and just recently we've discovered a way to duo Holy Cow, and Uninvited Guests. Today my reward was a XP scroll. Yipee. -.-

The cool thing to recognize is not only are we the most unluckiest pair, but we did set our record for UG. 3 minutes, 50 seconds. Of course the record on the SERVER is something around 30 seconds with a pair of BLMs.. but we go in as NIN + SMN.

Here's some pictures of some angels ~ I had fun PL'ing Mr.FunnyBST last night on his DRK. I felt bad for the WHM because even though having a PL is nice when things are a bit tough - when they aren't.. it sucks. And it means doing nothing for an even longer time. Although he could have hasted other PT members, the WHM just /healed and casted rebuffs. Oh well. The PT seemed able to hold their own - mobs didn't pop fast enough. Mr.FunnyBST looks mad. Grrrrrrrrrr.

First thing is first: Look at my Delusional WHM!!

Monday:

Monday was a good day IRL. But who wants to hear about RL? Psssh, not me! I love to come home.. I transform... My ears start to grow, and my tail magically appears, propelling me to another world. I get a craving for sweets... for Ginger Cookies... Rolanberry Pies...yum yum.

So I come online and it's time for Fafnir. I was already logged into the DA somehow, which was very convenient to me. Fafnir finally popped on the 3rd? 4th? window. I wasn't in the main alliance - and anyone in a HNMLS for over a year can appreciate the BORDEDUM it can cause. I started to research other outfits for Nya.. I can't wait to show you what I've found!! It might take a couple of days but I'm sure it'll be worth it!

Fafnir dropped an N.Head.. which I kind of want but mostly for the style. It would be handy when I get my BRD WS gear set up.. but I doubt people will give it to a BRD for only BRD sake. if I had a WAR or something levelled maybe.. but just for a BRD? nah. It's NP though - they did give me the "assjammer".. or the Aegishjalmr. It'll be useful on PLD.. I guess... I have the Valor Coronet though.. ah, we'll see.

I did Brenner with Mowgul. I came SMN/NIN and he went PLD/WAR. It's hard to kill a PLD.. with all the mp and chivarly and mp and healing he can do. I think I could kill him faster on NIN but not too much. I hate PvP though..

Mowgul and I duo'ed some EXP before our Salvage trip. It was pretty good exp too - I'll update with some screenshots later. I finally capped SMN EXP!!!! Yippeee~

Salvage. Orz, Salvage. I was so tired my eyes were closing but I wanted to stay for the experience and to not let anyone down. *cough* I should have went to sleep. In a few hours, our Salvage leader will write a big post on everything that went wrong in our run. I can guess a few things... for one... *somone* was sooooo drunk. It was funny but eventually got annoying and made the run a bit more difficult to lead.

I got a little frustrated because there was too many Chiefs and not enough Indians, if you get what I mean. I'll give you a small recap:

It's funny to me when leaders butt heads. Power is everything.. some people seem to mistake leadership for Power (hello hitler nice to meet you). It's annoying when its targetted on me, but otherwise I can laugh.

I like the core Salvage group i signed up with. They're really nice people and they know what they're doing. They may have trouble with verbalizing it w/o stepping over other people's toes.. but I"m glad I'm there. I just wish that most days we'll be organized enough to START ON FREAKING TIME. Yeah yeah we're Waiting Wind, that's a damn excuse and sooner or later.. not going to account for anything ;)

Tuesday:

We'll see what Tuesday brings.. I'm very bored at work and already daydreaming.. ENMs.. EXP.. BST... DRG/DRG!...Merits.. so many endless possibilities.

I started the day a little late in the game. We were up late last night with mom in the hospital.

First thing I wanted to do was bring my SMN to the Boyada Tree and try Carbuncle Vs. Elder Gobbue. Inore was on, yay!, but already busy helping another BST get 75. I made it all the way to the tree... took me about 15 minutes to get there.. when I realized I didn't have one of the most IMPORTANT pieces of SMN gear... Carbuncle Mitts!! I had to turn around.. I wasn't going to try to kite a mob without the security of Carby and my MP. By the time I got back to windurst and got my gloves, Mowgul had come back on and was ready for our first ENM of the day:

ENM of the day - Like the Wind. Drops: gay satin. GJ MOWGUL ! FAIL TH! Haha, don't worry. I sure as hell wouldn't have done anyyyy better. On the plus side, we're getting much quicker at it.. it was probably our lowest time ever. Yay!

At this time, we were expecting Tiamat to pop. I decided to stick with the group and wait out the pop. Meanwhile I just sat in my comfy chair and read. It was a couple hours before the big mean dragon did pop... it's kind of exciting when you actually see the mob appear on your screen. I had looked up because someone sent me a tell and suddenly I saw Tiamat appear! I was excited.. I was on SMN and noone was telling me to change jobs. A lot of people have levelled BRD - easy 75 right so those who hadn't already come to Attowa Chasm were able to switch jobs while I got to stay on my woopwoop SMN. Wolftamer of course was on SMN too so we had some fun comparing numbers. Again, Wolf averaged higher than me. Merits aside, his gear trumps mine. Still, I was able to pull some nice numbers. Even one critical!!

After Tiamat, Kao annouced that she might call dynamis in an hour, depending on our numbers. I took that time to read some more and just chill in my mog house while watching Pascale and DRF do their dynamis. I got bored really fast so I took the opportunity to head back to the tree. Finally I was able to pitch my avatars against Gobbue. I wasn't worried.. but Carbuncle just can't take the hits. Fenrir did better, obviously, but his shitty bite drained my MP. Next I tried Garuda. I know Marla hates Summoners who prefer Garuda.. but Predator Claws aside Garuda can heal herself. That's handy.. instead of having to kite and avatar lose hate.. she can heal herself and stay alive longer. Isn't that the logic behind a PLD, too? Regardless, 3 PC and 1 Whispering Wind, the 2nd gobbue was down. Drains MP a hell of a lot quicker.. yes. I'm not as efficient as BSTs up here. Inore was just ripping shit up before. But I had fun.

Until Kao called people ready for dynamis. Not even enough for a Dyna-Tav (which I wouldn't have been able to go to anyway). So.. that was it. Pasc and I had dinner and watched a movie... tomorrow is work and I"m hardly looking forward to it.

Delusions

Another slightly uneventful day. I've had a headache that's made me a little boring to talk with and I think I put off a few people. Regardless, Mowgul spent some time and helped me in Sea. We farmed flowers for a good while, and had no luck. Damn those things! Such a terrible drop rate. We were killing both the flowers and the Grah's at a good pace so I thought that the 2nd tier ones would be easy for us. Morg said that they were a better drop rate to have 2 of them dropped? Or did he mean the H.Q version? I'm 2/5 at the moment, and both drops were from freak accidents when I was in DRF. I've soloed so many I've lost count, and the most I get is a few Lumionin chips. The 2nd tiers were fun to get to, we eventually found a small space to kill. They didn't drop, but they gave twice the exp. Too bad it's in aggro heaven. I don't think WW does enough events in sea.. some people just don't understand the place yet. Which I find a little funny since I'm somewhat comfortable there.

I think with the headache come the 'Delusions'. Pascale says I like to be Delusional. I think he's right... I mean, look how cute I am!! I'm learning how to use .Dats (-not- create them, credit goes completely to ffxidats.com) and I'm really enjoying the outcome.

I'm a delusional Summoner. Here is my YinYangRobe.. It'll match much better once (if) I ever get AF2 spats.

I love the Lady Yukata so when I saw this .dat, I knew I had to have it. It's flawless and makes me feel all good inside. I do like how the regular YYR looks on a SMN, especially a Mithra SMN. Buuuuuuuuut a change is always good!

During my sea farming, Marisela wanted to try to pop Ix'DRK. I wanted to help out. So together with Soraan, Sacryd, and Kelari we ran around the place trying to find ???. Unfortunatly we didn't get to it in time, another LS found before us. Worked out better this way, though, as they were soon called into an important meeting. I was able to teach Mari how to 'pin a pot', something I learned from Liseth. So once they were gone, I just solo'ed a few more flowers. Then I ran back to Whitegate and did some Aht Urgan missions.

Rank Up: Mission 29 - Puppet in Peril!

Now it's time for a fight. 2 other people in my LS are on this mission, so it shouldn't be too difficult to get a party together. I was hoping tomorrow, when people are logged in. We'll see how that goes. I'd like to get Mowgul and Pascale caught up to me, that would finish the PT but could take awhile.

I'm a delusional White Mage too.. but I didn't take any good screenshots of it. I'm quite surprized, but I'll take one later.

Last day for slavery

I had a good friday night. It was relaxing and slow. After a hard day at work, this is all I wanted.

We started out back in Sky. Marisela wanted a small farming group, so Mowgul and I went up as PLD/NIN + SMN/WHM to farm Water. We got incredibly lucky - our second pot dropped! So then we made our way back out to dolls again. People started to join and at one point we had a good group for in case Despot popped. We needed SC more than anything, but we didn't bother since 3 hours of Despot farming is enough sky for anyone.

Wolftamer changed from THF to SMN and we had ourselves a little PC war. Of course he averaged out more than me, and that's the blessing/curse of a SMN. His awesome gear, so much great end game stuff, can get him to average higher than me, someone who dosen't have many great pieces. I was able to hit the higher numbers, 1166, 1256, 1314... but not as often as him.
You can see me under his giant galka legs. Wolftamer's SMN impresses me obviously, he's put a lot of work into it. He has a few more merits than me... I could catch up fairly quickly if I wanted. But since the LS never really uses my SMN (not as useful as merited BRD or WHM) I haven't bothered.

After the grueling hours in sky, I needed a break. I stepped away from the computer awhile and watched a movie. Pascale was busy in DRF doing their events.. but then they wanted to EXP. I passed the first opportunity of going as tank because my eyes just needed a break. Around 11.30 their tank DC'd so I went up. Thanks to Mowgul who let me borrow some PLD gear <3! but more like DD gear.. hahaa. I went up PLD74/NIN37 and it worked out okay. We averaged about 8k/hour at the Mammol Ja's. I think we could have done better at north camp.. I don't really like killing puks because they really don't give much EXP. I find it pretty hard to keep hate on PLD/NIN... but with Tzaellia as super DRK and Pascale as super SAM I dont' think people expected me to be. It was just fun to pt with Eugene, Soccersail, Tzaellia and my Pascahlee.
So now I'm about 6k into my level. It would be cool to get 75 just to be 75. I have a good feeling though I'll just be borrowing Mowgul's gear. Unless SE provides another space saver.. I have the updated Mog house and Mog locker and a good amount of Storage .. it's still NOT enough space to hold all my gear for BRD!!!!!! WHM, SMN and PLD? nah. RDM won't be so bad because I can share a lot of the gear.

Or BST. If Mowgul and I really duo BST... I think we could. I'd really want RDM up there though.. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Halfway to Haidate

I took today off work. Another "Nah" day, if you will. I did go in for about 30 minutes and accomplished everything I should have done for the day. Maybe you'll understand why I'm so bored at work now.

Anyway - Today I accomplished a few things. Pascale and I made an exp PT this morning together. It only lasted an hour and some, and wasn't very good exp coming in, but it was fun. Mowgul leeched on his 68SAM and him and Pascale had a witty banter about their SAMs. I dinged another merit!

Then I joined a skill up PT with Morgvenom, Kelari, Dantes and Zoerine. I went WHM/NIN which is always fun with my Prudence Rod. Too bad I can't get any virtue stones yet.... someday soon, I've promised Nya. I'm closer to 230 and once I get that, I'll go solo my WS points with Yoli. And probably Mowgul too, if it's in Kuftal Tunnel he'll never give up a chance of getting gill (Amemeeenentnet?)

After dying in the skill up PT (I was AFK) I went to work to put in my 30 minutes.

Came back and Mowgul, who lost a bet to me a few days ago, is still technically my slave. So I took him up to Ulli camp and we duo'd statues for awhile. It's great EXP and with my empress ring I was always a couple shy from 400/kill. Kelari wanted to join to gain skill ups, and once he zoned into the area a Diorite dropped! 1/2 to a pop for Byakko. I highly, highly, highly doubt Haidate will drop for me. People have been going 0/12 Byakko's for that lately on this server. I wonder what the joke is... some would blame SE on the gay droprate but I secretly believe there is some truth to the sky gods getting together in meetings and playing tricks on us. Or!! Every sky god you pop is really a GM and FFXi is more PvP than you can imagine! I'd love to have that job. I want to wipe cocky new linkshells!

Poor Kelari had to go back down to the entrance and while Mowgul warped back to Whitegate to change to PLD, Terror and Anberlin needed our help with Shiki. No one has been camping or keeping track of Shiki lately... so it was up and free for us. Today was Anberlin's lucky day! YYR dropped. 3rd time is the charm~

Necksnapper, Kelari, Mowgul and I fought Groundskeepers for a few hours. It was fun to watch Kel drop those dolls with Spinning Slash. But Despot never popped. DRF came that way and I was certain they'd try to overtake our camp, but Eugene <3 oh Eugene verred them the other way. Unfortunatly we gave up.

I noticed I was only a few exp from my 3rd merit, and Mowgul was only 3k away, so we duo'ed in the mire again. I was on SMN and he was on NIN. Bako joined us in our Vent channel and chatted with us. It was fun - after I realized that I was on EXP and not limits... Mowgul and I dinged at the same time.

I'm starting to become a merited WHM! A few more pieces of gear and a few more merits and I'll actually be "done" with this job. It's a wonder that WHM will probably be my first done job. I plan on continually improving BRD.. whereas WHM seems to hit a cap. Once you have the favored AF2, there isn't much else out there that will significantly improve WHM. I'm sure there could be, to somone who takes the job seriously... but me? Nope. I have cure and mp. What more do you want?

Apparently Ciaran wants much, much more. We'll see how Amanada does at WHM in our next salvage. Maybe Ciaran will go easier on me.

I joined a merit party before Dynamis, and I was able to cap exp again on BRD and get 3 more merits.

Now I have a -8% cure casting reduction. That'll help when I'm on RDM.. I hope that stacks. With Fast Cast and -cure casting reduction from WHM... I think I'll find main healing on RDM that much easier. I'm not sure if I'll have that SP with Cletis and Inore, but I know for sure Inore needs to level his RNG along with other jobs.

Then Kao calls Dynamis-San d'Oria. I have nearly all the AF I could have from this place... unless I wanted the Valor hands. I'm not sure I do... I don't see myself being PLD very often. I don't want to bulk up my inventory for something I don't often use, ya know?

The gather together time was pretty quick, and we had a good number to go in as.

I think I remember all the drops... 5xWHM (again! That happened in DRF), 1xBST (Grats Mowgul! Now unlock BST!), 1xDRG, 1xSMN (Grats finally Wolftamer!), 2xRDM, 1xMNK, 1xPLD. It was a really good run, and why shouldn't it be, we destroyed everything in there. I'm fairly sure we got every time extention possible because it was 3.5 hours. It seemed really long. By the end we had about half the people who started, many were DC'ing and I'm pretty sure some was forced. :P

A long awaited Ding

Yesterday Mowgul and I duo'ed NIN/war + PLD/whm.

A couple nights ago he lent me PLD gear to PT in while the rest of WW was in Dynamis-Tavnazia (the only thing I don't have unlocked - YET!). I found it pretty fun and found that PLD has really changed since I last played. I was able to keep our party alive and well and I ended with 5k TNL.

So last night we went out to the Imps in the Mire (on the way to Khimera). About an hour and some passed and I dinged 74 PLD and he recieved another Merit point.

My Linkshells

I don't know how others determine their timeline in FFXi, but I do mine by Linkshells.

I don't remember the very first linkshell I belonged too. I don't remember when I learned to appreciate linkshells, what they meant and what I could do with them. When I started to play I didn't expect to make real friends, I didn't expect the need to feel like you belong to a group.

Until I met Tiska.

Linkshell: DisciplesOfLucifer

Tiska gave me a pearl to DoL. It was in the dunes when I was levelling my WAR. I was still pretty clueless, but she started to talk to me and help me out. She was somewhat new too, but she understood the game a lot better than me. She was my first friend. She gave me a pearl to DoL where I met a bunch of people. Eldariel was her crush, the leader was Fabio and he was never on. Hwang was the smart one who knew everything. Azzuro was the funny one. My husband started a new character, Pascale, and he joined too. Together we had a lot of laughs in that linkshell. I learned about Advanced Jobs, I learned about Chocobos, about exploring, about gear and about belonging. We'd party together, we'd help each other out. Hwang helped me get PLD unlocked. He taught me the basics of PLD and what to look forward too. Unfortunatly he didn't last very long in the game, and quit before I could make my mentor proud.

Then Tiska introduced me to Arucardo. He quickly became a very reliable friend and we SP'd WAR & PLD from 50 up. It was the good old times, Arucardo Tiska Eldariel and I would do a lot of things together. The old school impossible quests of breaking the level 50 limit, 55 limit, 60 limit, 65 limit. Before I could break 65, our schedules started to clash. Work, School, Time zones - we weren't able to do everything we wanted to. We met higher level people who told us about End Game, explained the importance of Zilart, and what we have to look forward too. Zubis (75RDM) helped Arucardo and I get our artifiact gear and would tell us stories of Gods and much better gear.

After awhile, DoL broke.

I don't remember the LS' after DoL, until I met Natont. He told me about his LS leader, how kind she was and how his LS was growing quickly and was promising.

Linkshell: EclipticShields

Bshame accepted me into her HNMLS. My first ever HNMLS. I was PLD69 and I hadn't beat Maat yet. I was pretty confident in my ability to do my job but I was getting very tired of being a PLD. I knew it wasn't a preferred job and being a Mithra I didn't have a big asset on my side. That got me discouraged a lot, but Bshame was always there to reassure me. I became very fond of her. She was experienced and smart, she was always trying to help people in the LS, she was always prepared for a fight. She has a lot of jobs and I admired her. I brought Tiska into the LS, and Arucardo was promised a position when he returned from his absence. Bshame was there when I beat Maat, and she was there to reward me for getting Level 73 with the Koenig gear I couldn't even dream of affording. I still have and cherish each piece. She introduced me to TeamSpeak where I was able to speak to other member of the LS. I remember staying up very late talking to Natont and waking my husband up. I remember giggling at Bshame's Texan accent and making her talk more on TS for my own secret pleasure.

Thanks to EC, I was able to unlock Sky and complete most Zilart Missions. I was able to level in our close knit group. We took down big, scary monsters like Behemoth and Lumber Jack and Roc. I still have some screenshots somewhere. Tiska met her soulmate, Xratedkilla. Which meant for me I often needed to find other levelling partners because Xrated did not favor PLDs. I didn't blame him, but I felt rejected. That's when I started to level my favorite job: Bard.

Unfortunatly, great things never last. Bshame was ill and her 2nd hand became a snot nosed whore and took the spirt out of Bshame. With Bshame went EC. Some people didn't put much effort into keeping EC alive when Bshame wasn't around. It was very difficult to keep people together when there is 1 or 2 that are very uncooperative. I found it discouraging and sad, really. EC had a great group of people, but it just wasn't enough for some.

Eventually Bshame left the game. It was terrible sad and in a fit of anger (towards a stupid red head) I threw away my EC pearl.

The upside was that I was able to focus levelling my BRD. I lost all motivation for PLD. It was locked up with my Koenig gear with my Moogle in Windurst.

I met quite a few people in my parties as BRD. One in particular was a player I had known under a different name. He had been friends with Arucardo and known me through aquaintance. We re-met in Bibiki Bay on his NIN. Xhrta became a good friend of mine.

Linkshell: TheHopefull

Hellio was the leader. I found him silly and funny and interesting because he was from Greece. I would ask him a lot of questions about his area and everything. Because of where he lives, he would schedule events very early in my day. I loved that, I didn't have a job at the time and it suited me very well. I met some more people and made more friends. Slowly my pain from EC was subdued and I enjoyed myself a lot. Arucardo came back and so did all my motivation for FFXi. We partied a lot on my BRD with others from the LS. The most memorable was when Arucardo, Silarious, Neeble, Hellio, Xhrta and I think Lillian... we tried to EXP in Ulegarand Range while talking over TS & Skype and drinking. Anyone who knew Aru knew his love of Jack Daniels, and on some Friday & Saturday nights, we would drink and EXP and die more than level, and pee our pants laughing (Okay maybe that was just me). I found a lot more adventures on PLD and I loved the feeling of being a needed, preferred job. With TheHopefull I was killing gods in Sky, farming against other hardcore LS', joining in the pathetic drama and having a blast.

I made some very dear friends. Mowgul, Xhrta, Neeble,Lillian, Hellio, Nihi - they stick out in my mind. Arucardo and I were playing a lot together again and I was having so much fun.

We focused on Sea here. Arucardo and I would try to SP our COP missions. One of my most fondest memory of Arucardo is staying up late (like 4am!) on Skype while doing COP missions with Nihi and this very bad french summoner. I guess I had a bad case of the giggles cuz Aru would have me laughing so hard that night.

Of course, all good things come to an end. I don't remember exactly how, but Hellio broke the LS. Some of us went our separate ways. Mowgul couldn't play for months and I kept in touch wit him through E-mails.

Being a 75Bard, I got a lot of attention and invites to LS'. I used that to my advantage and applied to a big-name end-game LS.

Linkshell: DynamisLordsHNMLS

The leader to this LS always stood in Port Jeuno, on the stairs from the mog house. Lydya was the first (or one of?) 75SMN on the Cerberus server, and the first NA to recieve a Dalmatica (A.Body). He was part of the old school end game LS', a time where I was levelling war/rdm in the jungle he was always up in the sky doing the hardest bosses of the game.

The basis of DL was Dynamis, obviously. I hadn't many wins when I first joined, but I got lucky. They were on the city cycle so I was able to grab all the wins to unlock the Northlands dynamis. It was scary fun for me, I really enjoyed it. Most of the members were only there for dynamis, but there was some that stayed in full time. I became full time because I didn't have anywhere else to go. It was a great group, I quickly learned. On the days off Dynamis, we would still go into Sky and do some farming, and a lot of the people were so incredibly helpful in getting members Sea access. That's where I finished my sea missions. Lydya was the most helpful in my group, and I think I just got lucky with that. Lydya and I spoke a lot and I found him really fun and down to earth. He was a good leader and had many loyal people. I stayed in this LS for a very, very long time. I made quite a few friends and my first real enemy. /shakes head.

I stayed in this LS the longest, I think, because of the "family" atmosphere. It was Lydya's most loyal members that created that atmosphere. So many inside jokes were created, and people all seemed to have the same ideal for what the LS was improving towards. I SP'd my WHM with Lydya's BLM.

Bshame came back to the game and I was able to get her into the LS. It ended up not being for her, but it was a really great time to play with DL and her at the same time.

After 8-9 months, after a really big blow out with Oravis, I had to leave DL. I didn't want to, but the drama was so thick I didn't like logging in. I joined PaiMei, a different kind of end-game LS. Mowgul was my friend there, staying in touch with him he helped me get in. I stayed there for about 1 month before I just gave up completely. I left the game. During the summer, Mowgul would keep in touch with me through e-mails but I had a job and I joined in different activities.

Mowgul informed me that DL was breaking, Lydya was leaving the game. I never really got to say good bye to that group. Turns out I didn't really need to. When I returned to the game, Nary found me. Then he pearled me.

Linkshell: Thunder

In my opinon, the best part of DL formed Thunder. Shefki was leader and a whiz at everything computers and FFXi's SMN. Pascale was able to follow me here, which made it even better. Arunna, Eugene, Lillie, Thelan, Mogknight, Nary, Talmor, so many great great great players. I had so much fun here. It was certaintly one of my most favored times and fondest memories. We accomplished so much in such a little group. I was proud of our group. Shefki made me interested in SMN, so I started to level that. I completed COP here.

Lillie and Thelan got married in the game in Thunder, and I was they're chaperone. They made a promise then, that they stuck to. I witnessed their wedding, they witnessed me and Pascale's wedding. Only, Pascale and I got married in real life (much later).

Shefki got tired real fast. There was a lot of responsibility and drama that really just sucks the life energy out of you. I saw that in Lydya and I saw it in Shefki. I made the choice to leave, because I was getting bored and wanted to move on. Pascale and I left and went to Mowgul's LS.

Linkshell: TheAftermath

Another end-game LS. AM was from PM, which I had been a part of for about a month before my absence. They had spilt into 2 different groups. Since Mowgul was in here, he helped us get in. Pascale and I were able to witness and experience a lot of great things here. It was a more fast paced LS and I appreciated that. I wasn't bored very often (until we went into sky haha) and it was quite dyanmic. I somehow was able to recieve a lot of gear from here. For awhile I was the only 75 BRD (main) that was actively playing so most of my AF came from AM. I got lucky, I have to admit. I didn't let that go to my head, though, I played my best and learned how to improve my skills.

I made some good friends in here. Lillian and I became close because we chatted on the AM forums every day for weeks and weeks. We made silly signatures for each other.

The thing about AM was the drama. There was some gEmo people in there that made it difficult sometimes. There was some bad players in there that made it even harder. The leaders, Raviont and Saryon, were awesome awesome people but played late late at night when I needed to go. They missed a lot of events so when things went down they weren't there to experience it, but they heard from their sackholders. Some of the sackholders were really great - Chistik was probably my favorite. And Dankknight.. he was very cool. He was on my side a lot of the time with Geno.

Mowgul, Ihlly and I did a lot of ENMs there. We'd try to team up and merit and do things together. Ihlly was mad funny and sweet, I liked her alot.

When drama got too thick, and after someone kicked me from LS for something really gay, I just lost interest. I have the screenshot for that too, somewhere.

I was done with stupid end-game drama. I was more interested in levelling SMN and doing the slower paced things. There was only 1 place for me to do that in.

Linkshell: DownRightFierce

After Shefki left and Thunder broke, Mogknight took on the responsibility. I was accepted in and I was so happy. Oftentimes I wondered why the hell I didn't leave AM earlier for DRF. It was that family atmosphere again, stronger than before. It was everyone I had loved back in action. It was a sky only LS, which got boring very quickly but it was the people that made it worthwhile. We got in some very talented players and made a very soild base foundation for a Great LS.

I made so many close friends in there. It's difficult to talk about the ending, but I knew I needed to get out. I needed to travel, meet other people and see other things.

If there is anything I've learned about myself through Nya is that I need to keep moving. I need to keep busy. If I'm idol too long I'll lose interest. FFXi is just like that for me. It's partially true in my real life, too. I need to keep busy or I'm bored. When I'm bored, I'll find something else to motivate me.

I found that in FFXi.

Linkshell: WhirlingWind

I'm having fun in WW at the moment. It does have a small group of people who are like family to each other, and that's nice to witness. I'm happy being the outsider, the invisible. WW and I are getting along, people agree with my skill as a player overall and they haven't kicked me yet. They've kicked several others, which I'm happy for, (SO LONG VIRTUE) but I'm safe for now.

I'm part of a Salvage group. Neera/Zokiki, Ciaran, Wolftamer, Mowgul, Soraan, Marisela, Sacryd (who they all call James but I'm not on a first name basis yet). It's late on weekdays but it's a lot of fun so far. I've already gotten a Lv.15 piece for a pair of Marduk Hands. I'm learning a lot and seeing how WW does things as opposed to other LS'. They're less dramatical, but more harsh and to the point. At first I wasn't sure if that was a good thing but now I find I really like it. Thats the way it should be. Enough tip toeing about hurting people's feelings - the bottom line is to boost your skill and be quicker/faster/better for the improvement of the GROUP.

I like that and I'm looking forward to it a lot.

I'm also having a tremendous time with Nya's friend Mowgul. Since TheHopefull we've been great pals but Nya and Mowgul do a lot of things together. Namely ENMs and anything else crazy we can try. We duo just about anything we need to, from Aura Statues to exp to WS points. My next goal is to have us duo Despot. Rawr!

This is my first attempt at making a Blog for Nya, my character in FFXi.

A little Nya History

I wasn't much of a MMORPG gamer. In fact, I had never played one, nor shown any interest. I didn't understand the concept really, and even though I enjoyed gaming, I didn't think I would enjoy anything online. I mostly played fun Mario games, and the Final Fantasy series exclusively.

When FFXi was launched, my husband got it for his birthday. He started to play and I watched him. I remember thinking it was weird and complicated, but that music from Bastok was nice.

One day, in October, 2004, my husband had his friend over. With nothing else to do, I created a mithra. I named her Nyanoh. I came up with the name on my own. I was a fan of Anime and knew that "Nyah" was a common word for "Meow", and since my Mithra resembled a cat, it went from there.

I was born into Windurst as a White Mage. I had absolutly no clue what to do. I walked around a lot and spoke with all the NPCs I could find. It was purely by accident that I went outside into East Sarutabaruta. I thought, Holy shit this place is huge! I recongized the enemies from when my husband played. Hand-to-Hand WHM dosen't last too long. I slowly started to enjoy myself....

and the rest is history!
